Volleyball Recap: Clark Chargers vs. Rancho Rams

Clark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rancho Rams. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Clark was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Rancho work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Ian Chen paced Clark's offense, picking up 12 kills. Chen got some help from Theodore Birdsong and his 31 assists. Finally, Suphanat Sukhata kept Clark's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Clark's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rancho, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clark will square off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Clark surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rancho, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m.
