Crossett is 9-0 against Hermitage since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Crossett and three for Hermitage.

Crossett saw some tournament action last Saturday. They fell just short of Bearden by a score of 2-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Hermitage came up short against Lafayette County on Friday, falling 72-48. While losing is never fun, the Hermits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Cougars are ranked 67th).

Crossett's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hermitage, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Crossett beat Hermitage 44-36 in their previous meeting back in November. Will Crossett repeat their success, or does Hermitage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
