Woodland won against Hudson's Bay last Friday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Woodland Beavers blew past the Mark Morris Monarchs 49-21. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 22 points or more this season.
Elijah Andersen was his usual excellent self, rushing for 184 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 55 yards and two touchdowns. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Will Clemens was another major influence, as he rushed for 31 yards and ran in a TD.
Woodland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
Woodland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Niel Valerio, Chase Hall, and Josiah Graham picked up one apiece.
The win (which was Woodland's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. As for Mark Morris, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Woodland will host Ridgefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
