Baseball Recap: Pine Crest Wins Going Away Against Ransom Everglades

Pine Crest was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ransom Everglades on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Raiders 12-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the game before.

Brady Bushnell tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Stephen Gladding, who fired off two home runs, eight RBI, and one triple while going 3-for-3. Those eight RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Micah Billig, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Pine Crest lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Pine Crest's victory bumped their record up to 11-5-1. As for Ransom Everglades, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Pine Crest will square off against South Plantation at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Ransom Everglades does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
