Baseball Game Preview: Science Leadership Academy at Beeber Rockets vs. Boys' Latin Charter

The Science Leadership Academy at Beeber Rockets will venture away from home to face off against Boys' Latin Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Science Leadership Academy at Beeber, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Boys' Latin Charter's (thus far) undefeated season.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Science Leadership Academy at Beeber's offense. They came up short against George Washington on Tuesday, falling 15-0.

While Boys' Latin Charter didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-9-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against West Philadelphia by a score of 13-10 on Wednesday.

Boys' Latin Charter let Chris Dempsey and Sebastian Hernandez run wild. Dempsey scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in five of his nine plate appearances, while Hernandez scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-5. Hernandez is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

Boys' Latin Charter's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Science Leadership Academy at Beeber, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
