Basketball Game Preview: Fayetteville Lions vs. Moulton Bobkatz

Fayetteville hasn't had much luck against Moulton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Fayetteville Lions will square off against the Moulton Bobkatz at 6:30 p.m.

Fayetteville is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt an 80-25 defeat at the hands of Flatonia. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1176th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 320th).

Fayetteville used a three-pronged attack on offense: Cambree Denham, Lainey Gromaski, and Maycee Miller posted five points each. Paige Jurecka held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Moulton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They took their game with ease, bagging a 90-25 win over the Redfish. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-12.

Moulton pushed their record up to 28-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.8 points over those games. As for Fayetteville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-16.

Fayetteville was taken down by Moulton 59-15 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can Fayetteville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
