Volleyball Recap: Sycamore Takes a Loss

Sycamore lost against St. Xavier back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Aviators fell just short of the Bombers by a score of 3-2. The Aviators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sycamore took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-12, 23-25, 27-29, 25-14, 15-8.

Sycamore now has a losing record of 8-9. As for St. Xavier, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Sycamore is taking a road trip to square off against Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Aviators surely won't give up without a fight. After both having extra time off, St. Xavier and Hamilton will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
