Valencia had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Whitney on Wednesday. The Tigers never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Isabella Goulet tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sophia Avina was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Ledbetter, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Valencia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are 6-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Valencia's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Whitney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valencia will welcome Laguna Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Whitney, they will host Pioneer at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
