Santa Rosa waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They were the clear victors by  a  19-3 margin over the Clayton Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  20-1  on Tuesday.
 Landyn Zamora made a big impact no matter where he played. He  tossed five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits. Zamora was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-5 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played.
 In other batting news, Santa Rosa let  Joshua Cordova and  Andrew Urban run wild. Cordova  went 4-for-5 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  triple, while  Urban  went a perfect 4-for-4 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Cordova continues to improve, besting his previous  run total in each of the last three games he's  played.  Preston Muniz also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
 Santa Rosa was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .529. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in March.
Santa Rosa pushed their record up to 15-3 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Clayton, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Santa Rosa will  challenge  rival Pecos  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Meanwhile, Clayton is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Tucumcari  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
