Football Recap: White County Comes Up Short on the Road Against Rabun County

White County kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Rabun County Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Reid Giles had a dynamite game For Rabun County., rushing for 102 yards and three scores on only seven carries, while also picking up 66 receiving yards. Giles was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards. Another player making a difference was Ty Truelove, who threw for 160 yards and one TD.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Habersham Central at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Rabun County, they will face off against Fannin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
