Basketball Game Preview: Heide Trask Titans vs. Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs

Heide Trask is 1-7 against Wallace-Rose Hill since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Heide Trask Titans just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Heide Trask will head into Thursday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They came up short against Lakewood, falling 62-40.

Meanwhile, Wallace-Rose Hill scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to Clinton on the road by a 70-51 margin. The Bulldogs were down 55-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Heide Trask will need focus on slowing down Sophie Sloan, one of several Wallace-Rose Hill players who made an impact when they last played. She posted eight points along with five assists and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Smith, who put up 15 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Even though they lost, Wallace-Rose Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Heide Trask's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Heide Trask couldn't quite finish off Wallace-Rose Hill in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 30-28. Can Heide Trask avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
