Basketball Recap: Bellaire Piles Up the Points Against Cambridge

Bellaire waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cambridge Bobcats 55-23. The Big Reds have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

Bellaire had a senior duo take command as Zara Harveth almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards and Eliana Mason went 5 of 7 on her way to 13 points along with seven boards and five assists. The game was Harveth's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Hines, who posted six points and four steals.

Bellaire's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Cambridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Bellaire will venture away from home to take on Harrison Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bellaire's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Cambridge, they will take on Buckeye Trail at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
