Eastern Wayne won the last time they faced North Lenoir and Charlie Thomas did his part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors walked away with a 68-55 win over the Hawks on Tuesday with plenty of help from Thomas, who shot 83% from the field on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last four games he's played.

North Lenoir's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Julian Veal, who posted 22 points, and Calvin Maye, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Veal also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Anton 'A J' Black was another key player, putting up six points and eight rebounds.

The victory got Eastern Wayne back to even at 5-5. As for North Lenoir, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Eastern Wayne will face off against North Pitt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.92 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Lenoir, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-69 win against Ayden - Grifton on the 7th.
