Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Reservoir's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Reservoir unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Howard Lions, falling 3-0. The 'Gators were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Reservoir was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-22.

Leading Howard to victory were Miranda Ball and Jojo Vassor. Ball had 19 digs and three aces, while Vassor had eight digs. That's the most digs Ball has posted since back in November of 2024.

Reservoir's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Howard, the win keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Coming up, Reservoir will challenge Annapolis on Tuesday. As for Howard, they will take on Broadneck at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
