Baseball Recap: St. Mary Comes Up Short

St. Mary lost against McCracken County back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings fell 4-1 to the Mustangs. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Mary saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Morris, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for McCracken County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

While St. Mary had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
