Baseball Recap: Aurora Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Aurora Christian Academy came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lighthouse Christian Chargers, falling 17-8. The Arrows haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sawyer Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowen Haynes, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Aurora Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lighthouse Christian, they pushed their record up to 23-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Aurora Christian Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Crosspoint Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
