Baseball Recap: New Castle Comes Up Short

New Castle came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-2 to the West Allegheny Indians. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Hurricanes, who until this contest were averaging 3.92 runs allowed.

Dominic Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Kainan Lynch also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

New Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for West Allegheny, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

While New Castle had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
