Volleyball Recap: Cabrillo Takes a Loss

Cabrillo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.

Cabrillo's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Long Beach Poly, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Cabrillo will square off against Lakewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Long Beach Poly, they will face off against Compton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Compton: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Long Beach Poly has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
