Fredericktown never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Crystal City Hornets. The Black Cats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ryan Souden made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Souden was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.

In other batting news, Ethan Marler was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Terry-Breakfield, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Fredericktown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crystal City only posted an OBP of .143.

The win got Fredericktown back to even at 2-2. As for Crystal City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
