Basketball Recap: Crawford County Takes a Loss

Crawford County was the 55-53 winner over West Washington when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crawford County Wolfpack were dealt an 82-43 loss at the hands of the West Washington Senators on Monday. The Wolfpack were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-23.

Blake Seibert and Braxton Bowman certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Seibert went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds, while Bowman posted 13 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Bowman a new career-high. Levi Richardson also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steals of the season.

Crawford County has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for West Washington, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.

Coming up, Crawford County will be playing in front of their home fans against North Harrison at 7:03 p.m. on Friday. West Washington has already played their next matchup (against Borden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
