Volleyball Recap: Lake Worth Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lake Worth Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the St. John Paul II Academy Eagles. If the Defenders were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Lake Worth Christian ultimately came up short, they really made St. John Paul II Academy work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-9, 25-18.

Madelyn Douglas paced Lake Worth Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Douglas got some help from Savannah Monier and her 18 assists. Mina Soysevinc controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. John Paul II Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Meallan Gunther, who had 12 digs. Gunther has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Lake Worth Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for St. John Paul II Academy, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.
