It was a good run, but Kingsburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bullard Knights by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Vikings have suffered since April 4, 2024.

Gavin Ekizian was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of King Rodriquez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Kingsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Bullard, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Kingsburg will venture away from home to square off against Clovis West at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis West's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Kingsburg's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
