Softball Game Preview: Shaker Heights Red Raiders vs. Euclid Panthers

For the first time this season, Shaker Heights will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Euclid Panthers at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Shaker Heights' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

Shaker Heights made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rhodes, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Red Raiders were the clear victors by a 26-5 margin over the Rams on Saturday. Fans of the Red Raiders have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Emerson Miller was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Emilia Chevraux was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Euclid's offense. They lost 6-0 to Mentor on Wednesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shaker Heights' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Euclid, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
