With a playoff win on the line, St. Francis Indian rose to the challenge on Saturday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 58-57 victory over the Pine Ridge Thorpes. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Despite the loss, Pine Ridge still got an impressive performance from Marvin Richard lll, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. That was a full 49.1% of Pine Ridge's points, marking the 15th time in a row Richard lll has posted more than a third of the team's points. Anthony Steele was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

St. Francis Indian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. As for Pine Ridge, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-9.

St. Francis Indian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-49 defeat against Clark/Willow Lake on the 11th. Pine Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
