St. Clairsville has been on a difficult stretch since their win on August 15. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weir Red Riders on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, St. Clairsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 248th in Ohio, while Weir are ranked 29th in West Virginia).

St. Clairsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-2. As for Weir, the win got them back to even at 3-3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Clairsville will challenge Cambridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Weir, they will square off against Fairmont Senior at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
