It was a proper cat-fight when Evergreen Valley faced off against Mt. Pleasant on Friday. The Cougars managed a 25-20 victory over the Cardinals. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 36-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mt. Pleasant's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was FNU Shaf, who rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown. Victor Ekwuru was another key player, having thrown for 276 yards and onetouchdown.
