Basketball Recap: Branson Skates Past Joplin with Ease

Branson won the last time they faced Joplin and things went their way on Friday too. The Branson Pirates claimed a resounding 71-41 win over the Joplin Eagles. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Branson and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for Joplin, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

When Branson and Joplin next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Branson will face off against Carl Junction and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th. Similarly, Joplin will try to stop Kickapoo's nine-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
