Soccer Recap: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Takes a Loss

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee and Carmel Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Rabun Gap-Nacoochee had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Rabun Gap-Nacoochee came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked ninth in Georgia, while Carmel Christian are ranked 54th in North Carolina).

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Carmel Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-6-1.

As of now, neither Rabun Gap-Nacoochee nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
