Volleyball Recap: Christian Heritage Comes Up Short

Christian Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Sale Creek Panthers.

Sale Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Callie Lacheney, who had 16 assists and 11 digs. Those 11 digs gave Lacheney a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Moore, who had eight kills, five digs, and three aces.

Christian Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Sale Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Christian Heritage's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hixson at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sale Creek, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Signal Mountain on the 29th.
