Basketball Recap: Mill Valley Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Shawnee Mission South

On Friday, Mill Valley faced Shawnee Mission South in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Mill Valley Jaguars fell 74-61 to the Shawnee Mission South Raiders. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Mill Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Shawnee Mission South, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mill Valley will host Olathe North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shawnee Mission South, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Olathe South.
