Basketball Game Preview: Town East Christian Eagles vs. Prairie Lea Indians

The Town East Christian Eagles will take on the Prairie Lea Indians in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Town East Christian is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

On Friday, Town East Christian lost to Calvary Chapel Christian Academy at home by a 57-39 margin. The Eagles were down 51-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite their loss, Town East Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Christien W, who posted 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Gideon P, who put up ten points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Prairie Lea ended up a good deal behind Round Rock Christian Academy on Friday and lost 61-44. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost four in a row.

Town East Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Prairie Lea, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Town East Christian against Prairie Lea when the teams last played back in January of 2023, as the squad secured a 73-38 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
