Volleyball Recap: Valley Christian Wins High-Profile Match Against Foothill

Valley Christian is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Foothill. The Trojans walked away with a 2-0 win over the Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sadie Wahlin paced Valley Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Wahlin got some help from Ansley Venkatesh and her 20 assists. Finally, Wahlin was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Valley Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. As for Foothill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

Valley Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Prairie on the 10th. As for Foothill, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Coronado on the 10th.
