Basketball Game Preview: Kenesaw Blue Devils vs. Shelton Bulldogs

Kenesaw has won four straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Shelton has won four straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Kenesaw Blue Devils will host the Shelton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but likely not for long.

Kenesaw is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Alma on Friday. Kenesaw fell just short of Alma by a score of 47-45. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Kenesaw's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maddox Wagoner, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 20 points, and Adam Denkert, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, Shelton made easy work of Pleasanton on Tuesday and carried off a 66-41 victory.

Kenesaw's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Shelton, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Kenesaw was dealt a bruising 80-33 loss at the hands of Shelton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Thankfully for Kenesaw, Riley Bombeck (who went 13 of 17 on his way to 31 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards) won't be suiting up this time.
