New Hope got themselves on the board against Clarksdale on Friday, but Clarksdale never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

New Hope is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Clarksdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Hope will square off against Itawamba Agricultural at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clarksdale, they will challenge Greenville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
