Softball Game Preview: Madison Eagles vs. Sterling Heights Stallions

Madison hasn't had much luck against Sterling Heights recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will take on the Stallions at 4:00 p.m. Madison has given up an average of 14.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Madison lost 13-1 to Fitzgerald on Monday. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sterling Heights played against Eastpointe on Monday and won via forfeit.

Sterling Heights has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Madison, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Madison suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Sterling Heights in their previous matchup last Monday. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
