Baseball Game Preview: Valley View Cougars vs. West Scranton Invaders

The Valley View Cougars will challenge the West Scranton Invaders at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. West Scranton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Valley View, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Valley View turned things around against Scranton Prep on Wednesday. They skirted past the Cavaliers 4-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, West Scranton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Wallenpaupack Area.

West Scranton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Walsh, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Valley View's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for West Scranton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
