Football Recap: Bishop Ryan Takes a Loss

If Bishop Ryan was feeling good fresh off their 62-12 takedown of South Prairie/Max last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions were beaten by Velva/Garrison/Drake/Anamoose 41-14 on Friday. The Lions have struggled against Velva/Garrison/Drake/Anamoose recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Bishop Ryan's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Velva/Garrison/Drake/Anamoose, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bishop Ryan will square off against rival Tioga on Friday. Meanwhile, Velva/Garrison/Drake/Anamoose is set to challenge their familiar foe South Prairie/Max on Friday.
