Volleyball Recap: West Plains Comes Up Short

West Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Midland Legacy Rebels. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

West Plains' offense was headlined by Aaniyah Kitchen and Taos McGehee, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from CC Murillo and her 20 assists.

West Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Midland Legacy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

West Plains didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Timber Creek on the 14th. As for Midland Legacy, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Waxahachie on the 14th.
