Volleyball Recap: Lake Station Edison Beats Tri-Township for Their Third Straight Victory

Lake Station Edison took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Tri-Township, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Fighting Eagles skirted past the Tigers 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Fighting Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lake Station Edison was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-12, 16-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Brooklynne Walker paced Lake Station Edison's offense, picking up 13 kills. Walker got some help from Lillian Kroledge and her 36 assists. Amari Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Lake Station Edison's victory bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Tri-Township, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Looking ahead, Lake Station Edison is taking a road trip to take on South Newton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-Township, they will square off against 21st Century Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
