Football Recap: Giddings Lonestar Southeast Takes a Loss

Giddings Lonestar Southeast lost against Austin Royals HomeSchool back in October of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs were dealt an 84-7 defeat at the hands of the Royals. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dane Kerr was nothing short of spectacular for Austin Royals HomeSchool: he rushed for 78 yards and three TDs on only five carries. Tanner Brown also helped with two scores in total.

Giddings Lonestar Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Austin Royals HomeSchool, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Giddings Lonestar Southeast will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Faith Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Austin Royals HomeSchool, they have already played their next game, a 76-0 victory against Concordia on the 12th.
