Volleyball Game Preview: Danvers Falcons vs. Marblehead Magicians

The Danvers Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Marblehead Magicians at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Danvers came up short against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional and fell 3-1. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 23-25, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Marblehead had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars.

While Marblehead won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-19.

Marblehead's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Danvers, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Danvers suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Marblehead when the teams last played back in September. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
