Basketball Game Preview: Lewis County Lions vs. Patrick Henry Academy Patriots

Having just played yesterday, the Lewis County Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Patrick Henry Academy Patriots at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Lewis County came up into this matchup off a tough 34-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Hickory Grove Christian by a score of 40-38 on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lewis County came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 118th in Kentucky, while Hickory Grove Christian is ranked 292nd in North Carolina).

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 90-64 to Johnson County.

This is the second loss in a row for Lewis County and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Patrick Henry Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
