Basketball Recap: Neumann Regional Academy Piles Up the Points Against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech

Neumann Regional Academy posted their biggest victory since January 24, 2024 on Friday. They blew past the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams 68-33. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Golden Knights had established a 28 point advantage.

Neumann Regional Academy was led to victory by Daiton Thompson and Jager Woodring. Thompson posted 23 points, while Woodring scored 20 points. Thompson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Walter, who had nine points.

The win was the third in a row for Neumann Regional Academy, bringing their record for this year to 4-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neumann Regional Academy will challenge Benton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Weatherly at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Weatherly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Columbia Montour Vo-Tech likes a good challenge.
