Volleyball Recap: Legend Comes Up Short

The Legend Titans didn't have quite enough to beat the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks on Saturday and fell 3-2. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red-Tailed Hawks 25-19 in the first set.

Legend started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-20, 15-10.

When it comes to explaining why Legend lost, don't look at Guy Gibbs. Despite the final result, he had 39 digs and two assists. Gibbs has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 14 times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Legend and nudges their season record down to 11-13. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Legend nor Cheyenne Mountain have any future games scheduled.
