Softball Recap: Gwynedd Mercy Academy Takes a Loss

Gwynedd Mercy Academy was the 17-8 winner over Merion Mercy Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Monarchs lost 10-2 to the Golden Bears on Thursday. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Howard, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Payton Krapf was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Merion Mercy Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Gwynedd Mercy Academy will be playing at home against Central Bucks East at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Merion Mercy Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Monarchs' contest: after the Monarchs face off against the Patriots, they'll take on Merion Mercy Academy again at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
