Volleyball Recap: AVA KETELSEN's Big Game Can't Quite Lead River Ridge over Stockton + How To Watch

River Ridge lost against Stockton back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 2-1. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blackhawks 25-20 in the first set.

River Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-13, 25-10.

River Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was AVA KETELSEN, who had seven kills, seven digs, and two blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of ELLIE RIFE, who had seven digs and one block.

Stockton was led to victory by Natalee Sullivan and Kaydra Wright. Sullivan had seven digs and four aces, while Wright had four digs, three aces, and one block. Those four aces gave Sullivan a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for River Ridge and nudges their season record down to 7-21-4. As for Stockton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.
