Crown Point is a perfect 10-0 against La Porte since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will host the Slicers at 4:30 p.m. Neither Crown Point nor La Porte posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Crown Point is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: New Palestine, who was ranked first at the time (Crown Point was ranked eighth). The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Dragons 2-1.

Paige Liezert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on nine hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 21 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Crown Point's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for La Porte's offense. They lost 10-0 to Jimtown on Friday.

Crown Point has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for La Porte, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Crown Point hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .387. However, it's not like La Porte struggles in that department as they've averaged .357. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Crown Point skirted past La Porte 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Slicers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
