Baseball Recap: Washburn Takes a Loss

Washburn lost to Fulton back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 7-6.

Washburn has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Fulton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-5.

Coming up, Washburn will venture away from home to face off against Central Magnet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fulton, they will welcome Greenback at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
