Vermilion had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-6 to make it four. They took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Port Clinton Redskins. On the bright side, the 12- run effort marked the Sailors' highest-scoring game to date.

Vermilion saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lia Leimbach, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
