Volleyball Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

Wilson lost against Independence back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 25-21 in the first set.

Wilson wouldn't go down easily and took Independence into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-23, 25-19, 24-26, 15-9.

Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Independence, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Wilson has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Midway on the 22nd. As for Independence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Panther Creek on the 22nd.
